Bernie did mention THIS in one of their debates..

http://america.aljazeera.com/opinions/2014/9/hillary-clinton-honduraslatinamericaforeignpolicy.html

Despite this, however, both under Clinton and Kerry, the State Department’s response to the violence and military and police impunity has largely been silence, along with continued U.S. aid to Honduran security forces. In “Hard Choices,” Clinton describes her role in the aftermath of the coup that brought about this dire situation. Her firsthand account is significant both for the confession of an important truth and for a crucial false testimony.

First, the confession: Clinton admits that she used the power of her office to make sure that Zelaya would not return to office. “In the subsequent days [after the coup] I spoke with my counterparts around the hemisphere, including Secretary [Patricia] Espinosa in Mexico,” Clinton writes. “We strategized on a plan to restore order in Honduras and ensure that free and fair elections could be held quickly and legitimately, which would render the question of Zelaya moot.

He's looking for attention after he milked every penny he could out of Snowden (wonder if that guy is regretting his mad dash to Putinville?).

If HRC is going to be his new 'beat' he'd better get in line--there are haters far more skilled than he is, with greater reach, who are ahead of him in the queue.

Russian operative in the first place, years ago, before he transferred to Hawaii, way back when he was working at Yokosuka Japan and took a cough vacation cough to Hong Kong.

He's a chicken, poor Ed, and he had no choice but to go home to roost. He never thought his damn CLEARANCE renewal would trip him up--thanks a LOT, Obama!

Bright spot for the American people--because his clearance was being investigated, he wasn't able to be Putin's best asset for decades and decades. His damage has been limited, in effect, to his time on station.

But I do think he was 'turned' well before he decided to play the "Whistleblower and Run" card. This is why you see a lot of side-eye when his name comes up in governmental circles.

IMO, anyway. YMMV.

Maybe even as long ago as his Swiss adventure, when he was complaining about the cost of a fast food hamburger.

He would have kept on, only he got bolloxed up by his security clearance recertification, because his original document was chock-a-block full of lies.

I also think there are people in government who KNOW this, but they're just not saying.

You should watch the video. Kerry's approach as SoS has been very different. For one he actually had an IG confirmed to make sure the State Department was acting (somewhat) above board and ethical.

To think that our choices in the general election may be between Trump and Clinton ... I just can't.

My family and I are doing our part on Saturday to make sure Sanders wins big in Washington State. The alternative is too scary.

We should not 'embrace' or 'overthrow' brutal dictators even when the are 'the lesser of two evils'. We should always support democratic rights for all people though we should not intervene directly to bring that about.
