The percentage gap: Hillary's higher support amongst old versus young voters.

I suspect the big reason is because most of the older voters have gotten more Conservative. I mean it's pretty well understood that tends to be the case when people get older. Oh and when I say Conservative I mean they don't want to take risks. I'm sure to many older people Bernie's platform looks risky.
Thoughts?

Americans are conservative temperamentally. By that I mean they are risk adverse. Of course, there are Americans who want to shake things up but they are the minority. Americans will not vote for a chaos candidate. In fact, they will vote for just about any candidate to avoid it.

That's not just a normative observation . There are lots of scientific studies that confirm how highly risk adverse folks are.

To make it even crazier, I live in Georgia! Yea, I know, Dems are far outnumbered in Ga. I don't see why anyone (except the very wealthy) are too risky. To sum up Bernie's ideas, he just wants to have the fiscal policy of Roosevelt! Obviously, since we've don't it before, it's not too risky!

Busting Myth, People Turn More Liberal With Age
The stereotype of a cranky old man, set in his ways, getting more conservative by the day, is an enduring one. But new research has debunked the myth that people become more conservative as they age.

By comparing surveys of various age groups taken over a span of more than 30 years, sociologists found that in general, Americans' opinions veer toward the liberal as they grow older.

"All the evidence we have found refutes the idea that as people age their attitudes become more conservative or more rigid," said Nicholas Danigelis, a sociologist at the University of Vermont. "It's just not true. More people are changing in a liberal direction than in a conservative direction."

The myth is based, I think, on a saying, "If You Are Not a Liberal at 25, You Have No Heart. If You Are Not a Conservative at 35 You Have No Brain." This adage is attributed to a number of different historical figures, but the oldest mention is to Anselme Polycarpe Batbie

I believe it is safe to say one becomes more risk adverse with age and responsibility.

I think were fine.

I specifically wanted to show that the old Adage about getting more conservative with age has no real basis in current science.

I support Clinton, but not because I am risk averse. I see no evidence that Sanders can deliver on his big ideas. I think Clinton will, first, protect what we have achieved, and where possible, move continue to move the nation in the right direction.
