Today's Marquette WI poll seems off: (Obama +1); (Thompson +1)

Their number for Obama seems lower than other Wisconsin polls we have seen in the past week, and they are the first pollster to give Thompson a lead in quite some time.

I'm assuming Baldwin is going to maintain the overall lead she has had, particularly after what Thompson's son said this week about sending the President back to Kenya.

Wednesday, October 17

-----

PRESIDENT

Obama - 49

Romney - 48

-----

SENATE

Thompson - 46

Baldwin - 45

7. How Did You Like The Debate Last Night?

Do you think the president worked Romney the way Joe Louis worked Max Schmeling in their rematch. I thought Romney was a nanosecond away from calling President Obama the N word and Candy Crowley the B word.

I don't think anybody talked to that empty suit that way in his life.

I assume this poll was taken before Thompson's latest scandal.

Nate Silver gives Baldwin about an 80% chance of winning, so I'm hoping this doesn't change that.

I posted a whole bunch of positive polls yesterday, as I always do.

Don't start implying otherwise.

and your name seems to pop up above quite a few bad ones. And I think sometimes... how do people find the worst polls? I certainly don't see them on DU or any of the democratic sites...

5. Well Marquette has a decent rep I think?

So this is a rare poll these days that actually warrants a little concern. But Obama hasn't put ad time in WI I don't think so they must be confident.

... it has a job at Marquette. It's not conducted by the University.

It's actually done by/for the Bradley Foundation, which is the evil spawn of AFP. You may ignore it.

Obama has dropped from +8 to +2. Kerry only won WI by .4%. Hopefully, we will be back up 5 or 6 after the strong debate.

that some of the romney superpacs have bought up a LOT of ad time and plan to deluge the state with negative adds against baldwin. It is pretty obvious this is one of the senate seats they are going to try to fight back.

9. Well, even Rasmussen had Baldwin up by 4.

Seems unlikely since no other poll since August has found a Thompson lead.

15. Marquette Poll Not Credible

Check its history - - it can safely be ignored as a RW shill poll. And considering that every other poll for weeks has had Baldwin ahead be several points, it can even more safely be ignored.
