Gallup is making fools of themselves. How many outiliers until they aren't legit anymore?

When I saw ras go down one point today, I knew Gallup would try to make up for it by giving Romney extra points. But giving Romney an extra two points from yesterday, with no news over the last two days that would account for such a huge bump was really stretching
their farse beyond the breaking point.

Is Gravis in charge of Gallup polling now? Do they even bother to contact people, or do they just wait for rasmussan
numbers to come out then just pick a number?

They seem to follow Ras's lead when they do an uptick for romney. Then when they do a downtick, like today, gallup
has to compensate on the other end to buoy romney's average.

but Obama is +4 49-45 with his job approval. I still think there are some awful numbers on this Gallup poll from a week ago and as they drop off and the debate takes hold things will get brighter even on Gallup.

But it still LOOKS good for Romney to the average member of the public who sees these numbers and isn't familiar with polls.

I think we and the right wing poll junkies are the only ones still paying attention to polls. They've been so inundated with polls in every direction that they no longer matter. I think they all blend together.

So Romney could be losing, but as long as a flawed poll looks "good" to "the average member of the public" it's OK?
