2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDid anyone else see Plouffe's interview post debate?
The lady for CNN said that Obama was gaining on Rmoney with women. Plouffe looked at her and said actually we are up a lot with women. The interviewer also said that O was trying to gain ground in battleground states like Oh and PA, Plouffe again set her straight. They keep trying to push this narrative that the race is a dead heat when in reality it seems far from that. PBO seems firmly in the lead in the categories that matter: Women, minorities and Ohio.
Fuck CNN, I only watch it because their onscreen graphics don't get in the way like others. They are too graphics heavy but put them at the bottom of the screen. MSNBC puts theirs at the top and I don't like that. Nitpicky reason I know.

(1,134 posts)because if Romney has not actually made those gains then there is zero way for him to win. Plouffe doesn't spin so if those are the facts those are the facts.
And I believe him. In fact I believe the race is over. Ohio and NV are all Obama needs and even
w/ 'momentum' Romney has not closed on them significantly.

(3,867 posts)CNN and the M$M needs this to be close to keep the ad money coming. If they were honest and said ok guys looks like Obama's got this, then the money would dry up. Sucks that this is where our media is...

(1,287 posts)has no credible path to 270 votes in the electoral college. Anyone who's been paying much attention sees that. The media does not like to mention the EC until election night. They like to spin the close popular vote margin and totally ignore that that's not how we elect the POTUS.
