The media needs this race to be close (better ratings)

and if Obama was white he'd be walking away with a Bush/Dukakis'esque victory in this election . (I never play the race card but lets call a spade a spade.....afterall...dude killed Bin Laden and 2 days later his approval rating was only like 67%).

He could call him boy, the N word whatever he wanted and the media would try to rationalize it. This is a race thing. If Obama were all white he would be ahead so far that he could go in and say Medicare for all and go up in the polls. I have and always will support PBO, his legacy will be judged properly by history. He hasn't gotten a chance to be the next FDR or Clinton so far, but after term 2 he will be seen as one of the great ones. By 2020, one of the best.

You'd see pickup trucks full of racists headed to the polls on election day.

i completely agree with you.

when all is said and done if Obama gets a 2nd term he will go down as one of the greatest presidents of all time.

what i KNOW we will see as he wraps up his 2nd term:

-Unemployment around 5.5% (which unfortunately I think will be the new normal)
-Healthcare reform like never seen before
-Balanced Regulation on WS
-Minimum Wage Up but ahead of general inflation
-College Education easier to achieve than ever before for low income people
-Immigration reform thats balanced across the board

what I suspect we will see:

-a real focus on trying to get Israel/Palestine resolved
-normalization of relations with Iran as back channels are worked and Iran backs down on nuclear development
