Are you serious a new flavor of the week, this guy will never be president. He looks like his momma spits in her hands and brushes his hair back.. GOP should just call the 2012 election a lost cause and move on..

(31,706 posts)If he had any real political appeal, he'd be out there and running away with this thing. If you heard him deliver the rushpublican "response" to the SOTU you saw how poor a speaker he is and an even poorer candidate. The guy has the charisma of a soap dish. In fact he's another establishment tool...maybe a little more acceptable to the moderates than Mittens but not to the great unhinged who want red meat that Daniels can't deliver.
The rushpublicans continue to look for their "great white hope" and they're starting to realize they don't have one...

These daily talk show hosts want to keep this race alive so they just throw shit out there. The reporters love the free hotel stays and meals traveling from state to state so at this point they will try anything to keep the race going..

(31,706 posts)It's not just the corporate media that likes the endless campaign...there's a cottage industry that's grown inside the beltway of endless fundraising and campaigning. These people move from one candidate to the next to keep the gravy train a 'rollin...a big reason the primary season is now two years long instead of the 4 months it once was. Look at how many people's meal tickets are tied to the campaigning but not the governing...those are the ones who are desperate to keep the races going.
Also one more reason the corporate media loves these demolition derbies to roll on is the huge spending the campaigns are doing on teevee advertising...most of that money (easy money at that) goes to the major networks. They're looking at this election season and Citizens United as manana falling out of the sky.

(6,022 posts)He's been heavily pushing the anti-union legislation in Indiana, and he was a complete tool during his rebuttal to the State of the Union. I doubt he'll be the new flavor for long. They'll probably try to settle on Jeb, who I more than welcome to the race.
