Bernie Thinks Superdelegates are Great!

I saw Bernie Sanders on a few of the morning shows this morning. He said that if he has the momentum going into the convention, he believes the superdelegates would flip to him.

I take this to mean that he believes that super delegates are a legitimate part of the nominating process.

Yes he got the support of someone that is a super-delegate.

That isn't hypocritical of saying the super-delegate system is undemocratic or believing that many of the superdelegates will flip.

People may feel that capital gains shouldn't have lower taxes, or home mortgage interest should not be deductible, or all kinds of positions that are popular with some people... but that doesn't mean these people don't take the deductions if they are eligible for them. It's two different issues... thinking the rules are good, vs. making use of the rules even if you disagree with them.

...as you go about your day:

You CAN and SHOULD support a candidate without AGREEING with every single thing he/she says or stance he/she holds.

This is what has bothered me so much with Hillary supporters carrying the most brackish of water for her. I'd be okay with you supporting her. I'm not okay with you defending her stance on Fracking/TPP. Calmly stating she's made two bone-headed moves in as many days (HIV-Reagans/Healthcare-Bernie) goes further than attempting to rationalize it.

I bring this statement out every election season: The only person I agree with 100% is myself, and since I'm not running, I have to go with second best.

Please, think about it. Take care and good luck to your candidate.

with pragmatism, that is.

Pragmatism is a philosophical movement that includes those who claim that an ideology or proposition is true if it works satisfactorily, that the meaning of a proposition is to be found in the practical consequences of accepting it, and that unpractical ideas are to be rejected.

Listen, Hillary could be said to do everything for her own personal gain, including running for President. To those of us who aren't crazy about her, it's more about her than anything else, including the welfare of the Democratic Party or anybody in it. One thing I can count on with both Clintons is they are going to take care of themselves first. I don't worry about that one bit, only about how it affects me.

For Bernie to work within the system is perfectly acceptable, until or unless he or you or somebody finds a way to change it.

What I like about Bernie is how he represents me and my political views and that he has stood for so many of the same things for so long I really do count on him to stand strong for these principles and for me and for all who likewise believe far into the future. Hillary, who has adopted much of his plank during this nomination process - I trust her to swing vastly rightward just as soon as she believes she can.

Bernie is the leader and negotiator I am so willing and so very, very happy to support.

Hillary thinks having a criminal record for marijuana is great
Hillary thinks allowing commercial and investment banks to combine and gamble with money that is not their is great.

and so on, and so on ... using your logic of course.

its just a fact that Super Delegates matter in a close race-and Clinton is likely to be the one with more than 50% of the Pledged Delegates whereupon Sanders supporters are going to wake up and start encouraging them to switch to their minority
