Could This Explain Hillary's Nancy Reagan/AIDS Comment?

Maybe Hillary believed what North Carolina Senator Richard Burr said here;

"Let us remember her (Nancy Reagan's) great contributions to this country, such as her commitment to stem the AIDS virus and her advocacy for a drug free country."

Yesterday, at Nancy Reagan’s funeral, I said something inaccurate when speaking about the Reagans’ record on HIV and AIDS. Since then, I’ve heard from countless people who were devastated by the loss of friends and loved ones, and hurt and disappointed by what I said. As someone who has also lost friends and loved ones to AIDS, I understand why. I made a mistake, plain and simple. I want to use this opportunity to talk not only about where we’ve come from, but where we must go in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

She did not think before she spoke. She did not research. She failed to remember the pain the Reagans caused this country on the subject. She goofed. Big, Big, big time.

I will remember in November.

Anyone alive at that time who was concerned about HIV/AIDS was appalled by the Reagan's behavior. And we've never forgotten that.

The fact is, Hillary wasn't concerned about the issue. She hadn't "evolved" yet. That's why she could make up such a fantasy.

That the vast majority of people voting in the democratic primary will disagree with you. Her FB has received 15k likes in less than an hour so far. You're not the only person who was alive during that time, I've lost dear, dear friends due to AIDS.

I'm grateful that Hillary is the leader that she is! She screwed up and owned it, something refreshing to see for once. Not to mention she's using it to force a conversation, to teach a younger generation something they know very little about.

Hillary is a phony. She's using you, not it.

Interesting that you have no explanation of why she said what she did. Keeping your head in that sand about Hillary must be contagious.

Another case of Hillary's poor judgment.

Hillary is SO NOT a leader that in this case she is probably the last person on earth to 'get it'.

I can appreciate people owning up for their mistakes, but in this she's just so far behind the curve it would be funny if the issue were not so serious.

What next?

Hillary: I misspoke when I said fire and the wheel were just a fad and had no practical applications.?

Has she come out against slavery yet? Until this point I had assumed she had, but after this level of ignorance it might be worth checking to make sure.

Bob Hattoy, Prime Time Convention: "
"AIDS is a disease of the Reagan-Bush years. The first case was detected in 1981, but it took 40,000 deaths and seven years for Ronald Reagan to say the word "AIDS." It's five years later, 70,000 more dead and George Bush doesn't talk about AIDS, much less do anything about it."

Elizabeth Glaser, same Convention, Clinton's Convention:
"My daughter did not survive the Reagan Administration."
