Supporters leave county democratic convention in frustration

DES MOINES, Iowa -
Supporters of Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton became agitated Saturday at the Polk County Democratic Convention.

Polk County democratic leaders said the process began smoothly until Clinton supporters challenged the first count, asking for a credential check for all the delegates after falling behind by more than a dozen votes compared to caucus night.

Polk County Democratic Chair Tom Henderson granted the credential check, but the process isn’t a simple one – and takes time.

The delays led to Sanders supporters becoming frustrated, with some at the convention leaving before the final count was tallied.

Henderson said conventions in a presidential election year usually takes a lot of time.

He recalled 20 years ago how the convention lasted until 2 o’clock in the morning.

Final numbers have not yet been announced.

A lot of people were, apparently, just running out of gas, or had to leave for work, etc. Deliberate tactic by the leadership there, as each successive recount had fewer Bernie supporters. eventually, it looks like they ended up at a slight Hillary advantage, and delegates evenly split (so Bernie gained over the initial tally at the caucuses).

CoffeeCat has a great thread going on this, if you haven't seen it. Lots of eyewitness reports, and she has video that she should be able to post at some point (her phone's out of juice).

Home. We weren't on schedule to be done until this evening after Hillary's people asked for more counts this afternoon.

Some people were so frustrated about the Clinton tactics that they left. Rather than have their credentials checked again. Everyone of Sanders delegates were listed on the party's computer check in lists. We followed the rules while Hillary's people changed the rules to suit themselves.

don't care. Their main goal is to get candidates approved by Goldman-Sachs (the Oligarchy) into the WH and stop all progressives from passing Go.

The Democratic Party Elite like Wasserman-Schultz are controlled by the Oligarchy and have no allegiance to the grass-roots. Ms. Wasserman-Schultz wasn't chosen by the grass-roots but by the Party Elite (Ruling Class).

If Sanders supporters take over the party, their gravy train for Clinton and Schultz and Rahm and their ilk will be permanently decommissioned. A takeover by FDR dems is their worst nightmare. It is clear by how during this cycle they have deliberately pushed away literally millions of young voters.

on the 96' primary which lasted until 2:00 in the morning. You know-the one where incumbent president Bill Clinton took 50 states from Lyndon Larouche who received a total of 0 delegates nationwide. Was that a barn-burner in Iowa or is Good Old Tom full of shit?

one vote per person that can be easily counted and verified.

If any other country was having an election process like this our government would be outraged and vocal against it.

I would love to see UN election observers weigh in on this nonsense.
