Adviser: Romney will tell Obama to ‘man up’ at debate

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/10/16/adviser-romney-will-tell-obama-to-man-up-at-debate/ An adviser to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney says that part of the former Massachusetts governor’s debate strategy on Tuesday night will be to ask President Barack Obama to “man up” and “accept his responsibility” for the terrorist attacks in Libya.

“There should be an effort to get transparency from President Obama on what he knew and when he knew it,” Romney foreign policy adviser Amb. William Richardson told Fox News host Bill Hemmer on Tuesday. “This was evidence that his so-called success on the war on terror wasn’t so successful. Targeted killings alone can not solve this problem.” .......SNIP.......

Tonight is a town hall debate , is it not? Which means they won't be directly debating each other but answering questions from the audience. God, what an asshole.

and the news media will follow. This is not new, or shouldn't be to anyone on these threads. Hypocrisy by "both sides" is assumed, lying by "both sides" is assumed (and no one here should be surprised that notions of a "false dichotomy" are merely abstract terms, both to MSM and to the consuming public). The narrative from now on is about who can dominate and display "strength," and who will cow down and show themselves to be "weak."

MSM will not stand in the way. And they did not during the last presidential debate.

The questions now is what will President Obama do? And is he up to the task of a steel-hard debate in which re-establishes a position of strength. Remember, the GOP meme (and hence the complete parameter of the election, now) is "strength." Strength, strength, strength.

"Gov. Romney ... meaningless bluster is not an effective foreign policy."

"We've dealt Al Qaeda serious blows throughout the Afganistan/Pakistan border regions. We've killed OBL. We, along with our allies, helped those who yearn to be free remove dictators like Gadaffi in Libya, Mubarack in Egypt, and Assad in Syria will be next."

"The challenges we face middle east and across the globe are complex. And yet your foreign strategy can be summarized in two words ... 'Man up' ... Gov Romney ... that's not a foreign policy, its a bumper sticker."

How about asking Romney if he will man up and tell us what loopholes he intends to close; man up and admit you were wrong when you wanted the auto industry to go broke..

it is such a softball. Obama can even say,

"our statements at the time were based on what the intelligence community told us and what we were permitted to release. We now know some of that information is inaccurate, and we are investigating to determine what exactly happened. That's what we do. We find information, and they we tell the American people. When you are president, your words actually have consequences, Governor. It's fine for you, as a private citizen, to go to the United Kingdom and insult them, to go to the Middle East and lay out an incoherent foreign policy, to take an American tragedy in Libya, jump to conclusions, and start releasing statements and holding press conferences before any facts are in simply because, much like today, you are trying to score political points. The president has to be a lot more responsible than that.""

it's such a stupid idea, it can't be their approach. Just like all the "zingers" crap before the first debate, when in reality, their plan was to aggressively lie.
