Brian J. Antal, the president of an Ohio charity for the homeless, is objecting to a photo op staged by the Romney campaign on Saturday that featured vice presidential running mate Paul Ryan washing pots and pans that had already appeared to be clean, Felicia Sonmez of the Washington Post reports:
Were a faith-based organization; we are apolitical because the majority of our funding is from private donations, Antal said in a phone interview Monday afternoon. Its strictly in our bylaws not to do it. They showed up there and they did not have permission. They got one of the volunteers to open up the doors.
He added: The photo-op they did wasnt even accurate. He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.

The head of a charity in northeastern Ohio where Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan and his family were photographed cleaning dishes over the weekend said Monday that Ryan was not authorized to be on the premises and "did nothing" while there.
Brian J. Antag, president of the Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society in Youngstown, told the Washington Post that the Romney campaign had not asked to make the Saturday visit to the soup kitchen. He said that he runs an apolitical faith-based organization which has bylaws barring it from hosting political candidates, and that the visit jeopardized donations from private individuals.
"They showed up there and they did not have permission," he said. "They got one of the volunteers to open up the doors." Antag added that Ryan and his family "did nothing" while on the premises ...

What is the message he is trying to send with these ridiculous photos?

(131 posts)Ryan ought to be ashamed of himself. These are very nice and charitable people who run this organization. This is a place the poor and less fortunate go to eat, as well as purchase used clothes and furniture, and these buttholes tried to use it for a photo op. I am glad they got caught...idiotic liars!
