In the debate and in ads, Romney should be attacked on character more than policy!

On policy, he can say that he actually stands for whatever is useful at the moment and neutralize the attack. That is what happened in the first debate.

But on character, no one can trust what he says, no one knows what he really stands for, if anything. He is a total opportunist with no real core. I think Obama should hit him on his dishonesty: "Either you were lying then, or you are lying now". This can be repeated over and over, about abortion, about the 47% remark, about the tax cuts, about everything.
