(42,373 posts)In spite of the fact that I love voting on Election Day, I've got my absentee ballot this year. Once I saw how many long ballot questions the Tea Party Fl legislature got on our ballot this year, I knew it was, in part, yet another attempt to create long lines to suppress the vote.
So I, my SO and my MIL, all democrats, took ourselves out of the fray and got our mail ballots. We'll return 'em directly to the elections office to avoid any lost ballots. Not as fun as voting on election day, but better for the process.
