Is a propaganda arm of Hillary Clintons presidential juggernaut masquerading as an independent news and opinion site?
That, anyhow, is the charge being leveled by the campaign of Clinton rival Bernie Sanders. They may have a point.
Back in the summer of 2014when Blue Nation Review was a fledgling blog dedicated to creating a place where progressives can debate where we want to be as a movement, per the web sites mission statementit treated Sanders as a liberal hero.

Even before Sunday nights CNN-sponsored Democratic debate had ended, BNRs lead story was accusing Sanders of rudeness and sexism under the headline Women React to Bernie Sanders Telling Hillary Im Talking.

As with an increasing number of political whodunits during this election cycle, the fingerprints of Hillary hitman David Brock are all over the crime scene.
Brock, who didnt respond to a request for comment, is the famed Clinton antagonist-turned-acolyte, an ardent convert from right-wing attack journalism, who founded the liberal-leaning media watchdog organization, Media Matters for America.

This is a good article.

(58,405 posts)In March 1992, The American Spectator published a 17,000-word article in which Brock challenged the claims of Anita Hill, who had accused Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment. Shortly thereafter Brock became a full-time staff member at that publication. In 1993, Brock expanded his article into a book, The Real Anita Hill. Brock's description of Hill in the book as a bit nutty and a bit slutty was widely quoted.[6]
The book became a best-seller. It was later attacked in a book review in The New Yorker by Jane Mayer, a reporter for The New Yorker, and Jill Abramson, who was at that time a reporter for The Wall Street Journal. The two later expanded their article into the book Strange Justice, which cast Anita Hill in a much more sympathetic light. It, too, was a best-seller. Brock replied to their book with a book review of his own in The American Spectator.

BNR is the pond scum of American politics, said Democratic political consultant Tad Devine, a top strategist for Sanderss campaign against the Democratic frontrunner. Im sure theyre going to do whatever it takes to throw mud at Bernie and discredit him and lie about him, and deceive people. And thats their business. Thats what they do for a living.
(snip)
Subsequent BNR stories, as Sanders ramped up his seemingly quixotic White House quest, carried headlines such as 5 Awesome Things Bernie Sanders is Doing With His Campaign, Bernie Sanders Wants to Bring the Fight to the GOP, Bernie Sanders rolls through Virginia riding high, Over 110,000 Bernie Backers Pledge to Attend Grassroots Event, andon Oct. 29 of last yearWhile the GOP Were Embarrassing Themselves at the Debate, Bernie Sanders Was Doing This.
This last storya dying burst of positive Sanders coveragereported: With most of the political worlds eyes trained on the CNBC GOP Presidential Debate on Wednesday night, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders held a rally at George Mason University.
As the Republicans dodged questions about their own divisive rhetoric, Sanders decried Islamophobia and the hate that often follows it.
BNR BOTTOM LINE: We think Robert F. Kennedy would be proud.
After early November came a two-month-long hiatus in which Sanders was barely mentionedand certainly never again compared to a martyred liberal icon.

The author is exposing Hillary's henchmen at work in flipping BNR's once noble purpose.

(3,411 posts)Brock is constantly linked here as though his outlets are true news sources, never mind he was funded by Clinton and readily admits to being a paid partisan. The groupies he has here are astounding! His tripe is posted here just as fast as he can spew it.

(9,314 posts)juvenile in nature. And they are paid BIG bucks for this. I have never pulled a political dirty trick on anyone, but if I were being paid to do so, I am pretty sure I could cough up better ones than these two guys. Really, as soon as one lands, you immediately think of one or the other. What ever happened to "leave no fingerprints"?
I am thinking if you put your mind to it, you too could come up with a better played dirty trick -- many of us here could.
Thanks for the thread,

Man, what Bernie is up against runs deep. Here's to sunlight, and lots of it.

(3,937 posts)HRC does best when she is under attack because it makes her seem like an underdog.
But it has worn thin now. With Sanders attacking only her policies and her donors, Clinton has to reach further and further to claim a foul and she needs friendly sources to help sing the tune.
I really believe that Team Clinton is looking at the polls and is still panicked. They see her sinking steadily and don't know how to get her back up...so they try to bring Sanders down and they try to brow beat certain groups to stay on her bandwagon.
There is another campaign using bandwagon this year and I would mention it here but some might not like the comparison.
