If she was running as a progressive, HRC would say THIS:

"What Henry Kissinger did in Chile between 1970 and 1973 was unconscionable and evil. I condemn it wholeheartedly.

What I did in Honduras in 2009 was equally unconscionable and evil. I apologize for it unreservedly and pledge that, if elected, I will never do anything remotely similar to either what I did there or what Dr. Kissinger did in Chile."

That is what a progressive and a decent human being would do.

There is no "pragmatic" case to refuse to do so.

I can imagine the tears in his eyes , knowing his tutelage made a difference.
I image he is on the phone right now congratulating her on her successful regime change, just as he taught her!

She is the daughter he always wished he had.
