I'm not falling for the notion that "anyone" could beat Trump. He's proving to be a great politician

Trump is not the caricature many of us would like him to be. He's quite adept at dispatching his critics (he absolutely destroyed the Repug Establishment's attack dog Marco Rubio in less than a week) and he's also proving to be flexible on policy, showing a willingness to move to the center for the general election (changing his positions on immigration & torture this week). Sure he's a con artist, telling people what they want to hear, but then again most politicians are. However, he is telling voters how things really work in DC, and is offering voters a different path away from the corruption from Wall Street and big corporations. Of course, these are things we never talk about here because it actually makes Trump sound good. But if we're going to defeat Trump, we're going to have to discuss his strengths as well as his weaknesses.

Anyway, we're not going to win in November by demonizing him, or somewhat paradoxically, trying to make a joke out of him. We are going to win by presenting a clear, hopeful and radically *different* vision of the future. Hillary cannot offer that. But Bernie can.

Against Hillary, he knows he will tie up 100 percent of the Republican vote.
Now he is slowly building a populist platform, suitable
to attract Independents. He will be running to the left of Hill on many
important issues. It will be a pummeling, blood sport writ large.
There is so much dirt available he will not even have to bully her as much as he would like;
he will defeat her, round after round, with her own words and misdeeds.
She will drop out of the General for 'health reasons.'
Mark my word.

This is why Bernie has to win.

Despite the childish back and forth Trump showed flashes of what he'd be like in the General election.

He actually sounded like a reasonable adult when he referred to the need to be flexible, and actually owned up to changing his mind.

It's a scam, of course, but he's smarter than the buffoon he's been in the primaries, and when it comes to the General he's going to look a lot better to many people who "vote on instinct"

The ads from the GOP will be constant.

She will be vilified for not being competent enough to handle National Secuity issues, she will be the pro-TPP candidate, the war hawk, the establishment DC insider, the one who collected money for her foundation before making arms deals, among many other things.

Trump will have no problem attacking Clinton. The GOP has plenty of SuperPac money and all kinds of ammo.

If tossing random chunks of red meat to a crowd while encouraging them to turn on each other now comprise being a "politician," the word has ceased to have meaning.

Trump is a fraud, a fake billionaire whose image derives wholly from our idiot MSM, who could expose him anytime they want.
