HEAVY early voting advantage for Dems so far in Maine. Things looking good on the ground.

Right now early mail-in voting is going about 45% Dem and 25% RePUKE and 30% Indy. Hopefully these trends will continue. We are working on making that happen. Indies have the largest registration overall with D's in second. What is good is that the trends are about the same both in southern more liberal Maine and mid to northern Maine which is more conservative.

Obama will win Maine overall. We do split our electoral vote so are working hard to keep Mittens down in northern Maine so he doesn't pick up that one vote. Things are looking very good for our two incumbent congressional candidates, Mike Michaud and Chellie Pingree.

Angus King, the moderate to progressive Indy will most likely win the Senate race. He's doing well in the polls despite outside right wing attacks that many Mainers don't like. (The D, Cynthia Dill, can't get anything outside far southern Maine. Only 14% total now. She can't win, and we have to taze the SLIMEBALL R Charlie Summers, aka the LIAR Sec. of State who tried to take away same-day registration here but got CRUSHED in the people's veto of it last fall.)

We have very good shots both at taking back the Maine House and Maine Senate which only need to flip three seats each to go Dem. Our candidates are very good and working very hard. I myself have been calling, canvassing, lit dropping, and putting up signs since August. Just dropped a bunch more paper for our local House candidate today. Working my town hard to win for our locals and to get strong Dem turnout. Things are looking good.

So, go put up signs. Make a small donation. Make some calls. Knock on some doors. YOU'LL FEEL SO GOOD.
