I'm a tad old for her demographic, but good for her!

Following in the footsteps of stars like Lena Dunham, Lindsay Lohan, and Stacey Dash, Miley Cyrus has declared her political affiliation.

On Friday, the 'Party In The USA' singer tweeted a picture of herself sporting a sleeveless t-shirt of President Obama with the slogan "Forward." She captioned the image #ROCKTHEVOTE.

5. as much as I can't listen to her father's music, I will say he's a really nice guy

I used to work in his hometown of Ashland, Ky. and encountered him once through a mutual friend about 10 years ago when he was in town for charity stuff.
You couldn't help but like him, because he was so genuine.

She has a lot of influence in young voters..and this is a surprise for me because of her dad being Billy Ray Cyrus and a Southern Christian. Sounds like Miley has a much better head on her shoulders than Lindsey.

So the whole family is hardcore Dems. Billy Ray was a big backer of Bill Clinton. Miley endorsing Obama is not a surprise at all.
