Not that there is anything wrong that.

(7,661 posts)and then add a disclaimer. What are you implying??? Sanders is attracting white men with his talk of income equality or that he wants to rein in Wall Street which is dominated by rich white men???? I really don't see the point............. SMH

(24,689 posts)If fact as a Hillary supporter it bothers me that she doesnt connect as well with white males as Bernie. I would like to discuss why that is and perhaps come up with some ideas on how to fix that.

(8,541 posts)Other than to race bait. I mean what analysis did you add from the article you linked other than "white men "?
Again, I'll stand behind my post.

(24,689 posts)Both candidate's campaigns I am sure are aware of this and discuss it regarding campaign strategy. Why cant we discus it here on a political discussion board??

(47,803 posts)That post was flamebait and you know it.
Even if you simply wanted to point out a demographic "concern" about Sanders appeal, that headline and cute little disclaimer was divisive and insulting, and I think you realize that.
If you're going to post flamebait, at least own it.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)If I were a Bernie supporter I would be bothered by this and try to discuss how to fix it.

(24,689 posts)Why doesnt she connect as well with white men as Bernie? This could be important issue in the general as well.
Armstead
(47,803 posts)Your concern over his demographic appeal compared to your chosen candidate is appreciated.
Hint: If you ever are sincerely interested in a discussion, it might be helpful to actually discuss reasons and ask questions without putting it in that kind of cast.
It might also be helpful to acknowledge that he started from a position of being largely unknown, and was instantly and falsely tared with the brush of "racism" and "sexism" by Clinton surrogates before he even opened his mouth in the campaign.
And that the Clinton campaign, genius corporate marketers that they are, are exploiting racial divisions in a complete turnaround from 2008, when she consciously courted the white vote.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)Sorry if it bothers you so much. Sticking your head in the sand and ignoring it does you or your candidate no good.

(47,803 posts)I know less than nothing about Texas, and have no clue why it was so skewed.
Yes Sanders appeal to white males is his strongest areas. I have theories, but they're just theories. I also note the points about the effect of the divisive and misleading aspects of the Clinton campaign in my previous post.

I have been voting since the fifties and the division of types of voters is out of control.

Sounds like Hillary needs to step up her game and try and appeal to "white men".

(18,402 posts)It sounds like Bernie needs to step up his game and try to appeal to the 73% of others (white women, black men and women, and Latino men and women) who form a majority of the Democratic electorate.
