In all 4 states which have had primaries, Repub turnout has broken records. But Dems refuse to vote.

...."turnout for Democrats is down 28% in Iowa, 13% in New Hampshire, and an astounding 33% in Nevada."

Where are the Democrats? Why don't they vote? And I don't mean just in 2016, but in 2012 and 2010 as well.

Yea I know Hillary vs Sanders yadda yadda - but midterms? Don't tell me "turnout is always low in midterms". Last midterm it was lower than EVER. You know this means we're royally FUCKED. Right?

They're all the same. They're all corrupt. It doesn't matter.

Of course it matters. It matters a great deal. But too many people feel their vote doesn't matter. I get it.

But the establishment can't figure out this problem.

They believe it's just a matter of changing their "message."

Good luck with that.

I'm hoping that when America wakes up and realizes that yes--Trump might be the next president--they'll decide to get involved.

But I'm not sure they will.

IMO voting should be a REQUIREMENT. It should be made easy, done from home, whatever, national holiday - whatever it takes but it should be REQUIRED.

There are people who would sell votes, walk in with their eyes closed and just push buttons, write in Micky Mouse and just make a mockery of the whole thing.

If you can't motivate yourself to get involved--to vote but also learn about who and what you're voting for--I don't know I want you voting.

And yes--I'm looking at you Trump supporters and Fox news viewers.

But I get your frustration. I really do.

It becomes more a system that would be open to that.

For one--I would not sell my vote--and most people genuinely interested in the process who are involved now--wouldn't.

But someone who didn't care? 10 bucks? Yeah--sure.

Do you want an "informed" public voting or an apathetic and ignorant one?

Granted--we have that now in a lot of cases. But make it mandatory and see what happens.

It needs to be reinforced early--maybe in schools, I don't know. I have no good answers how you get people involved who really care and who try to get informed. As long as people think it doesn't matter they won't care.

(don't know her exact phrasing but it's something like that) -- but then when it comes to single-payer, protecting social security (meaning removing the damn cap and making rich and corprats pay their fair share) and $15 min wage it's all: "NO! We can't!"

What the goddamned hell does the woman really stand for? I know what she's stood for in the past (her record). And I know where a good bit of her money comes from (follow the money). Based on that - she's what used to be called a Republican.

Don't get me wrong - if she's the nominee she'll get my vote because she's head and shoulders better than ANY Republican running but honestly:
