2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAnyone else starting to think about the Hillary versus Trump attack ads?
Like Hillary accepting the Planned Parenthood endorsememt juxtaposed with Trump saying "blood coming out of her wherever"?
Footage of Secretary Clinton meeting with foreign leaders juxtaposed with the recording of Trump on Howard Stern talking about "nailing" Princess Diana?
Hillary expounding knowledgably on foreign policy juxtaposed with Trump saying "Well I really watch the shows. You really see a lot of great, you know, when you watch your show and all of the other shows, and you have the generals and you have certain people that you like"?
I have a feeling she's kind of licking her chops at this point and praying that the Marcobot's software update doesn't produce a miracle.

(11,257 posts)It really is quite awesome. That's why you don't see any of his Republican opponents attack him for his sexism, racism, xenophobia, etc.
Clinton will have no such limitations.

(25,406 posts)that got lost in the overall circus at the time, is probably being analyzed right now by Hillary's campaign and filed for future use.

(11,573 posts)--and his viciousness--with no comment at all would do the job. Just a screen with "Vote Hillary" at the end.

(30,253 posts)Republicans appear to have lost their minds. The nastier and meaner he gets, the more support he garners. I just don't get it. I'm disappointed that we have so many mean spirited people in this country. Trump caters to the lowest common denominator and they are eating it up.

(25,406 posts)See, I could be a Trump campaign staffer!

(6,829 posts)by bringing up Bill's affairs. She hasn't mentioned that Trump's a sexist since
Trump is brilliant at finding an opponent's chink and smashing them. He will eat Hillary for lunch she has so much delicious baggage for him to use. He's friends with Bill and Hill and knows exactly where the bodies are buried to dig up and use against her. He's running on voter disgust with political corruption
Here's my prediction for his first commercial:
Trump holding his canceled check for $250,000 made out to the Clinton Foundation for some pay to play deal while Hillary was SOS.
Next commercial will be luxurious shots of the hotel in Haiti sitting in the squalor of abject poverty, paid for with hurricane donations to the Clinton Foundation that were supposed to go for housing for the displaced.
Next one will be audio of HRC at Goldman Sachs (because you know he has it), where she's blaming homeowners for the crash (cause she's done that too) running her Goldman Sachs nickname in big banners across the screen Goldman Handcuffs
So yeah, I can see this being TERRIFIC for some ad writer but not who you're thinking of
Nye Bevan
(25,406 posts)and "I attempted to get business through a political bribe" will be all that effective.
Now imagine the bare clip of the Donald declaring, "I've had more p**** than any if the rest of you."
I'd say he's a pig, but other than feral hogs, they tend to be rather nice creatures.
Arazi
(6,829 posts)then you aren't paying attention.
I spent less than 30 seconds typing up some ad ideas. Pros in the ad biz will be devastating.
And his counter-attack on HRC wasn't an ad as you know. It was a verbal sparring match HRC started and Trump ended, immediately. Trump has a brilliant knack for finding that chink and smashing his opponents. It silenced her

That's been floating around under the surface for awhile now. Worse, it's the Russian mob, to which Trump's buddy Putin is also connected.

(3,937 posts)Trump and Hillary attacking each over sex and wives and husbands and sexism, etc.
Such crap will be substituted for any discussion of what faces the American voter if it is Clinton v Trump.
