It is important to look at Bernie's significant contribution to the primaries...

No one really expected him to win, and that he has done so well is a credit to him and his supporters. His real goal was to move the conversation to the left, and focus on the unfair economic issues that face our country. He has certainly accomplished this, and should be commended. I remember hearing an interview with him years ago, where he said that the way to get traction in an election was to attract the young, idealistic voters who would work hard, and loudly for their candidate. He had a valiant effort in this regard. The biggest problem was that it is pretty hard to have a progressive rebellion when following a successful Democratic president. His timing was off, but his message was heard loud and clear, and hopefully will live on.
