The REAL Revolution: New Polls Show Women Supporting Hillary in Staggering Numbers

http://bluenationreview.com/the-real-revolution-women-for-hillary/
By Peter Daou

February 26, 2016

We’ve written about the role of men in the virulent personal attacks against Hillary in 2016:

We are witnessing an uprising of straight white males, a revolt from the core of the patriarchy. And their singular target is the woman who is inching closer to the presidency than any other woman in history. Between Trump’s torture-loving armies and Bernie’s brigades of misogynistic trolls, the 2016 electorate feels more like a boiling, churning mob than a political movement, a rage-a-thon more than a revolution.

But perhaps the revolution is not the one everyone is talking about. Perhaps the real revolution is this:

The Quinnipiac University survey shows Clinton with 59 percent support in the Sunshine State, followed by Bernie Sanders, her sole remaining rival, with 33 percent support. Clinton, who is vying to become the first female president, makes strong inroads among women in the state, carrying the demographic by a 69-34 percent margin.

Those are astonishing numbers. And it’s not just Florida:

In Massachusetts, Clinton leads by 21 points among female voters — with a 41-point margin among women over the age of 50.

ground and I voted for the Democrats that had the courage to run. Texas has a way of treating Democrats and people like us that is disgusting. They use and abuse people of color and hispanics to their advantage, and then try to make them feel less than human, only good to mow their lawns, clean their houses, and build their high rise buildings. Many hispanics would stand on the corners every day as day laborers looking for work. I've seen men in big white pickups come and take six or seven, work them all day and then not pay them. They know they have no one to complain to. This is your Texas, own it.

POTUS (Politics of the United States) is a nonpartisan, informational radio station. They have a lot of good information there. That's where I heard about it. There is a treasure trove of info on him. The impartial analysis is that Trump is a very tough GE candidate for the GOP. This is why they are scrambling so much.

Trust me, Hillary becomes a huge favorite if Trump gets the GOP nomination.

Hillary is the best at Establishment politics and represents the shadow government of the corporations and Plutocrats. While I believe that Trump is a fake populist, most people don't. It is an Anti-Establishment revolt this election, plus people are tired of Hillary's corruption, triangulation, insincerity and lies. Republicans will come off of their death beds to vote against her. It is doubtful that Bernie's younger voters will vote for Hillary.

If Hillary wins the Primary, especially with the help of Superdelegates, Republicans win. Bernie does very well with women, so I think this poll is wrong. I guess we will see!

While I would love to see a woman President in my lifetime, I understand very clearly that Hillary Clinton is absolutely not that one. And far too many who support her are simply in the OMG! A WOMAN PRESIDENT! OF COURSE I WILL VOTE FOR HILLARY!! category.

She is such a bad choice, and for so many reasons, that I am very saddened by the prospect of her as our nominee.

That's why all the "vagina voter" garbage has no effect on us. Yes, I'm supper proud to be voting for the first woman president. I'm very proud of Hillary. However, I would never vote for a woman if I didn't think she were the best candidate, too. Women really believe Hillary will be a better president than Bernie. So, what is the revolution here? What are the intended goals of the Clinton campaign? I see several broad brush, ignorant statements in the OP, but I'm not seeing any actual substance as regards the concept of revolution. It would indeed be revolutionary for a woman to win the Presidency - and hey, I'm all for that. Just not for Clinton. I'd be happy to vote for Elizabeth Warren, I believe she would be capable of leading a real revolution.

Your candidate though, has a history of supporting the wrong policies, of praising and supporting corporate influence and greed, of taking from the rich to give to the rich - and from the poor to give to the rich, too.

We could go over the specifics of her policies, of her actual votes in the past... her actions, her speeches, etc.... but what is new, different... revolutionary about her campaign or candidacy? Let's see here...

"We are witnessing an uprising of straight white males, a revolt from the core of the patriarchy. "

Interesting assertions. Very interesting. What about all the women supporting Sanders? What about all the African Americans, Latinos, members of the GLBT community? Are they misogynistic trolls too? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks to me like Sanders won the Latino vote in Nevada. Are they the core of the patriarchy?

The real revolution is going to come from a corporate financed campaign? Financed by the very same sorts of people who gleefully campaign and lobby in favor of the oppression of minorities? You know, like the for profit prison industry?

Rather than a revolution demanding campaign finance reform, greater wealth equality, universal healthcare, publically funded higher education... and so on and so forth... apparently, the revolution will be led by a member of the 1% who has spent her whole life supporting... well, the 1%.

See, what you call revolution, I call a continuation of business as usual in Washington.

Florida is the land of corruption and ignorance. Any rational person would expect those misinformed seniors to rush out to Hillary in droves as well. As far as Massachusetts goes...last I heard Bernie had taken the lead there. Not to mention the minor detail of half a dozen national polls which all agree Bernie is now in the lead. You see the younger demographics grew up during this age of corporate and wall street consolidation. They smell the fascism...and they will rebel. Bernie is actually the peaceful solution. 8 years of more of the same and there will be blood in the streets. Wake up people. 60 percent of this country has less then 600 in the bank. Think about that...that means we are much closer to Guatemala then to Germany. We are now a banana republic and you are now all wage slaves. I am sure toiling longer for less will be so much more liberating with a woman as the figure head of the multi-nationals.
