While reading our morning paper, I was close to tears.

I knew we Dems were in the minority, but I didn't realize just how much aa minority!

Sosebee said she had anticipated 6,300 people voting early overall. The final numbers topped her expectation: 6,322, split between 5,334 Republican ballots and 988 Democratic votes.

I live in Hall County Ga., about 45 miss. north of Atlanta. I didn't realize just how difficult a battle I was fighting when trying to convince people the Pubs were harming them. FWIW, all my neighbors spoke to about it are voting for Trump!

5. Be brave, Napi. Your district is literally among the most conservative

In the nation. Depending on the metric used, we are talking about the top 3 to top 15 here. Rep. Collins actually listed membership in ALEC on his website at one point.

Voting for Trump is a rejection of the RNC that has betrayed them so badly for so long, and of the Koch web even if they don't know it, so that is good news. That area will never turn liberal in your lifetime, but with the help of the devil's tool, knowledge, some will make the paradigm shift to realization that they always have been liberal in their hearts. You can start identifying them in gatherings by what they do not agree with by staying silent. Some of those will be more thoughtful, moderate conservatives, but that's okay too.

Another southern liberal (by way of West Hollywood).

thank you napi21

not to worry

ga. not our state but, in ours, the 'early voters' include all "absentee ballots"

if # is accurate we'll understand this meaning that republicans are now offshore (prob'ly vacationing in the cayman islands) and voted in anticipation of bernie's juggernaut

not to worry.........

County is trump country, though I haven't seen any bumper stickers yet. Everyone on the local Facebook "concerned citizens" forum seems to be a supporter. ETA: Hang in there and keep your head up. You are lighting a candle in the darkness, even if many are too blind to see.

9. It isn't just Georgia. While America was sleeping, racism has been slowing gaining a resurgence

throughout America.

When George Wallace ran as a Democrat in 1964, he ran as a Democrat. The Democratic party rejected Wallace's pro-segregation, racist policies, and he ran as an American Independent in 1968, which I believe is the roots to what the Tea Party is today.

The difference between then and now is that where the Democratic party solidly rejected the tea party, as they did George Wallaces' American Independent party, the republicans embraced it as part of their strategy, and gave it "legitimacy", and that "legitimacy" has allowed its numbers to grow. Because the republicans as a party refused to condemn the racist and anti-American ideals of the tea party, any moderates in the republican party are thrown to the side. The endorsement of Donald Trump by Chris Christie only serves to put emphasis on just how what the republican party has become.

This election is the most important election in my lifetime. It is for the very soul of America.

It has become more clear than ever today of the differences between the republicans and the Democrats.

That is why I will be voting for the Democratic nominee in the general election WHOEVER it is.
