2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumLyinRyan is going to CHOKE tonight!!! yep. i got dibs on this... :)))
seriously...i have GREAT hopes that Biden will do well b/c quite honestly, lyin-ryin is where he is because he has a network that props him up. lets get real. he didn't do it on his own. he is the golden child and has been treated w/ soft gloves. how do we know this? b/c he doesn't get called on with his endless lies. he has never had to really proven himself. and tonight, he's going to have to perform.
And to give credit where credit is due, Biden is pretty damn tough. he has been a great attack dog for obama. and how do we know he is effective? the right HATES him. Biden is STRAIGHT UP no nonsense. you may not like what he says or how he says it, but he shoots straight from the hip. and b/c of that, I always tune in to what he says b/c he is INTERESTING.
I'm hoping that tonight he will talk a lot about medicare and social security. I want the senior citizens in america to see biden vs. mr-i-want-to-gut-medicare front and center. getting my popcorn ready.....

(8,064 posts)Remember, Ryan is also trying to run his own campaign for congress at the same time, so his focus is split on the campaign trail.
but compare that to what the President has been able to do. He's running an entire country, trying to campaign, and trying to fit in debate practice.
Both Biden and Romney have had more time on their hands.

(4,310 posts)We know Biden. We love Jill. America, especially older voters
are not going to appreciate some young, unknown showing disrespect
for Biden. Ryan will roll his eyes, he'll be rude and aggressive and
it's not going to go over with anyone but the teabaggers. The base
and those wavering. I can't wait for the voucher word to come out
of Ryan's mouth.
In the first debate Willard said very clearly that if you were under 60
you had nothing to worry about. I was in a room full of a bunch of 50
somethings...not a happy crowd. Don't know why that comment hasn't
had more traction.
