I don't give a flying banana about magic underwear or the planet Kolob.

The main aspect of Rmoney's Mormon faith that concerns me is its subjugation of women. For instance, would there be any women in an Rmoney Cabinet? Assuming any pro-woman legislation like comparable worth ever got passed (unlikely since in this scenario the House would stay repuke), would he veto it?

2. There is an Ann Romney

quote that makes me I'll.

"Another son came along 18 months later, although we waited four years to have the third, because Mitt was still in school and we had no income except the stock we were chipping away at. We were living on the edge, not entertaining. No, I did not work. Mitt thought it was important for me to stay home with the children, and I was delighted."

4. Having lived in Utah, I cringe when I think about what happens to the women

Stepford wives kind of covers some of it. Women are expected to have children, lots of them. Women who did work, actually planned their numerous pregnancies so they would be due around Christmas time, that way they got the holidays off and maternity leave.

Even the strong, kick-ass, would-be feminist sorts, lowered their eyes and folded their hands when a male deemed to speak to them. I was not married then and my father was dead, so I was considered fair-game, women were supposed to need a man.

I went into a hardware store and you would've thought I was an alien, but then came the scorn. Roles are cut and dried and women are supposed to be man-pleasers, like geishas they told me.

There is also abuse that goes ignored. Women seeking help are told to pray and work harder to keep their men content. Also, married men are never understood by their wives. They are made to marry so young that they feel they missed out.

Pisses me off just remembering all this crap.

7. You sound like you are out

of there. I can't imagine the experience you had and that it
Happens in this country. And to think we profess to be fighting
A war in Afganistan partially to empower the women there when
our own women live in communities like the one you did. For
the first time in my life I feel at risk if Willard is elected. I wish
Every woman voting could hear what you have to say.

8. I was told that they think they are happy

That is what the people I worked with said about the women in Utah, maybe it was their way of trying to comfort me. Yes, I am out and I had learned to view Utah as a testing ground for experimental societal and mind control methods. But now, with the current GOP, I no longer have the confidence that I can maintain my status as a real human by just moving to another state.

5. That's a thought - are there any women in Rmoney's campaign structure?

That would be an interesting thought. There have been women in the cabinet pretty consistently now for at least 20 years. What if there were to be none. Might be an interesting question, if we had any real journalists in this country, to ask Rmoney.

6. His PR people are always youngish, fairly attractive, females now

He had a few men at first, but that didn't work out too well. I see the women on MSNBC, they defend him fiercely. Since he would be a token president, I am thinking there might be a token woman or two in his cabinet.
