Voter Register Caught On Video: "I Don't Get Credit For Democrats

As the final deadline for voter registration draws near, political parties are scrambling to get their people signed up. Along the way some of their tactics are raising eyebrows.

A KOLO 8 viewer caught one example on his cell phone Friday.

Noticing a man registering voters outside the main post office on Vassar he says he couldn't believing what he was hearing as he passed. So he returned to engage the man in conversation and took video of it all on his cell phone..

It all seemed normal at first.

"It's your last hour to register to vote," the man said.

"Are you registering both parties?" our viewer asked.

The man said yes, but then the conversation took the same strange turn our viewer thought he'd heard in passing.

"Could you do me a favor?" the man asked. "Mark non-partisan on there. I'll get credit for it. I don't get credit for Democrats.

I am a Democrat," he continued. "So I still do Democrats if I have to, but I'm working for the Republican Party. I have to get two an hour and I don't get credit for Democrats."

to church much but I'm a believer in god and I usually pray at home. Let's get that prayer chain out there today. Ask all our friends that we pray that Joe does well tonite and helps bring it over to the finish.

Since God doesn't hear from you all the time on every silly little thing.... He might just answer your prayer in the same way as the father of the prodigal son celebrated his son's return.

The registrations, out right voter fraud in Fla with the Repukes caught read handed with computer chip to change votes and the polls showing swing states all about even within the margin of error..Funny how all this sh&t never makes the evening news..
Chuck Todd said even though Obama is leading by a 2-1 in Ohio early voting but Rmoney has a 10 point advantage with likely voters..WTF does that mean Chuckle ?

to the brink. Now people see one debate and Romney is leading? I just don't see how people change that fast. I think you might be right and then democracy will die. Romney will be sitting as VP and Ryan will be the actual president and the republicans corporations will be telling them what to do. All because republicans hate the black man in the white house.

the push polling gave Bush the lead and the same with 2004,It is funny how exit polling(2004) was not accurate after they stole 110,000 votes ..exit polling just was not accurate way of determining how people voted .What? But yet there were races called in 2010 using exit polling as their results.
..About the debate tonight..this could also cost Ryan his Congressional seat.if things go well for Biden.

If the rethuglicans pull this off, the media will accept it because they have been accepting the lies all along. They don't report the instances as on this thread -- where the registrar doesn't get "credit" for Democrats -- what does he mean -- is he getting paid for registering Re[publhicans? Isn't this what they accused ACORN of doing -- only to learn too late that it was all a fabrication -- ACORN was innocent -- but by that time, the media had joined in with the rethugs and ACORN was "guilty" before the facts proved otherwise.
Obama can win, but if the cheating, the manipulation of machines, the disenfranchisement of voters, and the constant braying on the airwaves from the thugs is accepted by the mainstream -- the deal is done, the goose is cooked, the racketeers are in.

at our local campaign office and at the community college campus. The California Democratic Party gives us money for each democrat we register. But we register everyone regardless of which box they check. The rethugs do not, will not register Democrats. Our County Democratic Party successfully sued the rethugs a couple of years ago because they actually changed party preference on registration forms.

BTW - CALIFORNIA REGISTRATION deadline is October 22.

In 2 years there will be no deadline. Same day registration was recently passed by the legislature.

I've wondered for many, many months how ANY candidate could say & do the things that Romney does & still almost be tied. It's like they don't have a worry in the world. Scratching my head and thinking "boy, something MUST be going on behind the scenes!"

I put nothing past them. Voter suppression could just be a ruse, or just the tip of the iceburg. Paying people to only register Repukes is probably going on all over the US. I used to go door to door registering people AS A VOLUNTEER, no money involved. Some people would ask who we were registering for and we told them, but also added that we didn't care if they were a different party. Some people slammed the door in our face, but some DID register as Independent, NPA or Repuke. We handed all of them in.

Didn't work this year because of the time requirements put on us & the fines we had to pay if we didn't get the registrations back within a certain time.

We found in our state that the Nordquist 'starve the beast' crowd was paying for signatures on initatives and dressing them up as populist, but in every case, there was a corporate sponsor seeking to make money off them and destroy the Commons. Paid, yes.

Also have caught privatization groups hiring homeless, who knew nothing about the cases at all, to come in and pack hearings so that the stakeholders were unable to get into the room. This is a national practice, of paid signature gatherers and interference.

In Minnesota, it's all non-partisan. So, there's no way a person helping people would register would know what party they are.

Just like they did last time.

The GOP has a long history of election "tricks." Many have been prosecuted.

And I just KNOW they are pulling out the stops this election.
