But wait, theres more!
Devine also worked for Jon Corzine. As in found liable for stealing clients money Jon Corzine, although admittedly hes appealing that. The Jon Corzine who got the $400 million golden parachute when he was forced out as CEO of Goldman Sachs. Member of the Bilderberg Group. That Jon Corzine.
He worked for deposed Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych (the guy forced out by the Orange Revolution). You know, the guy who had a ridiculously expensive personal mansion which was sort of hard to explain how he could afford on his official salary and that he really hadnt brought in ostriches to his private petting zoo, they just happened to be there. Somehow, magically.
Lets see...Devine also advised Alejandro Toledo, the president of Peru who was good buddies with George Bush and signed a free trade agreement with the US that has received much criticism in Peru.
Oh, theres a good one. He worked for Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada, former president of Bolivia now living in exile in the US and fighting extradition to face trial in Bolivia for the massacre of protesters by government troops.

(1,290 posts)Yes, look at Clinton's policies, plans and previous votes. Hillary is not perfect, but she is most definitely in it for us!! (99%) Even Elizabeth Warren can see Hillary as an advocate for us.

You may attempt to paint Bernie with Hillary's colors - and fail - but that will never erase the hatred I hold for those things Hillary enthusiastically stands for.
This is, really, Third Way against Democratic Socialism. You cannot make the Third Way look good. You are just frantically flinging poo with no real hope of accomplishing anything, IMO. You don't get it that this is not about personalities, really. That Bernie is a good man is a plus.

I won't go to war for her, I won't take a bullet for her beliefs, because I don't believe that if she gets to say "so help me God" on top of whatever holy book of her choice; I cannot believe she's making that oath in good faith. Not with her taste for war.

(6,960 posts)Let's compare the campaign contributions to Sanders from Devine's previous clients with, say, the contributions from Tony Podesta's clients to Mrs. Clinton.
On the other hand, I find this news to be rather more revealing about who trusts that Hillary will behave properly if elected:

(26,080 posts)It is not a different standard for males. It is something she has earned, distrust. Why must her supporters continually play the sex card? Se does it all the time and then when Bernie say. " we can shout about guns all we want." Hillary's camp then claims Bernie is calling her a shouting woman. Get over her genitalia. The distrust is earned through many "evolutions" some as recent as less than a year.
I do not care for the Bernie bros slur thrown around, you know the one comparable to 2008 with Obama boys. I haven't called your group Hillary Hags, nor have I called them Clinton Corrupters. Instead of denying everything because it is "her turn" you would see this. is again earned. Most democrats do not support fracking, yet somehow you supporters do. Most democrats do not support trade deals that would harm workers, but somehow her recent evolution regarding TPP is fine with you. Most democrats do not like us being beholden to Wall St., Big pharma, Hedge funds, private prisons, ad infitum, yet somehow you guys do. Most democrats would not vote for someone who was on the board of Wal-mart, yet you do. We do not need lectures and fingers being pointed about campaign workers, if you want to play that game you would lose it as well. Deep in your hearts you know I'm right. I felt it would be a good idea to use a Goldwater phrase to remind you of your candidate's early roots, seems they really haven't changed that much , at least economically.

(20,234 posts)Because if you're planning to compare lists of questionable networks - it will do the same thing this strategy always does - shine more light on Hillary's nest, drawing more attention to her buddies.
Eventually her campaign will learn that attacking their opponent's strengths only works if it doesn't draw 20 times more focus on her weaknesses.

It's like if you have to go to court to defend your interests, you want the meanest lawyer you can find.
However that is not quite the same as a candidate being awash in that shit, surrounded by it, being part of it. Advancing it.
The whole tone of of Bernie is much cleaner, IMO

(381 posts)She represents her financial backers, the one percent. Bernie represents the 99%. Bernie is honest. She is not. Bernie wants fundamental change. Hillary wants the status Quo. Hillary is marginally better than all of the other Republicans. That not voting for hope, it's voting for hopelessness. If I'm forced to vote for her I will be voting against Trump or one of the other idiots. It will be the worst vote of my life.

(87 posts)he tried to off both himself and the kids by running the car with the garage door closed. It was for legal aid. Sometimes you don't always get nice clients. I'm pretty sure that Clinton represented a rapist once. I think she got him off too, as I recall. I don't think that that means that Clinton necessarily approves of rape.
Anyone who knows anything about being a lawyer knows that this entire OP is absolute shit. Work for any blue chip or even mid tier firm of any significant size and of course that firm will have at least some less-savoury clients on their books.

Indeed. The levels to which some will stoop to rationalize Clintons record is astonishing and embarrassing. If you forfeit your integrity, what do you have left?
I live in NYC and by this diarists sophomoric reasoning, I am only a few steps from pretty much every very important person in the country and some in other countries as well. Well then, Im really no different than Hillary. And its interesting to hear how unconcerned we should be about all of the monied interests that provide funding to right-wing and other miscreant candidates. Nothing to worry ourselves about. As I mentioned above, if the diarist would confirm that s/he applies her/his reasoning to the Kochs, et al. at least s/he would maintain intellectual integrity (although her reasoning would be no more compelling).
Its argumentation like this that will turn this place into a laughingstock, if it hasnt done already.
I am so sad for you, bb. SMDH...

(8,267 posts)have you seen this OP?
Please, stop belittling those of us who support Senator Sanders. If, by some stretch of the imagination, Hi11ary doesn't win the nomination (yes, we ALL know Bernie is still a long shot), she will need the votes of those of us who want to recover our political process from the corporate megalomaniacs who've usurped our media, our politics AND our global economy. And, right now, there are many Bernie supporters who are asserting that they won't vote for her, even if she is the nominee.
I don't think she can afford to continue to alienate Bernie's enthusiastic supporters. We certainly don't need a Republican in the White House.

(45,319 posts)The OP should try telling people what the OP is deeply concerned about instead of attacking others with the Kreskin method. What Straight Moderates think has very often been shown to be a crock of crap, Hillary and her cohort have a long, long history of claiming to be Deeply Concerned about Defending Sacred Marriage from the sinful LGBT, oh the depth of their concern, oh the invoking of deities and powers 'one man, one woman, Goddy Godsox says so!!!'
Yeah, they have concerns, deep, deep concerns!
