Who said it: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?

1. “Now that we’ve said these people are no longer deadbeats—they’re actually out there being productive—how do we keep them there?”

2. “I’ve advocated tying the welfare payment to certain behavior about being a good parent. You couldn’t get your welfare check if your child wasn’t immunized. You couldn’t get your welfare check if you didn’t participate in a parenting program. You couldn’t get your check if you didn’t show up for student-teacher conferences.”

3. “I want the Iranians to know that if I’m the president, we will attack Iran… In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them.”

4. “Every nation has to either be with us, or against us. Those who harbor terrorists, or who finance them, are going to pay a price.”

5. “We should have never been in Iraq. We have destabilized the Middle East.”

6. “I’m supporting an effort to increase the end strength of the Army, increase the size of the military… It is expensive, but I don’t think we have any alternatives.”

7. “I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants… People have to stop employing illegal immigrants.”

8. “Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own. We must have universal healthcare.”

9. “Health emergencies can’t wait for us to have some theoretical debate about some better idea that will never, ever come to pass.”

10. “We need more police, we need more and tougher prison sentences for repeat offenders.”

I'll post the results in the comments, but it would be fun if a few people guessed. I know that it will be tempting to google the answers, but why not just make a guess and have a bit of fun?

Or was that the Pre-Revolving phase? I'm not sure.

How many candidates treat fellow democrats with affectionate terms like 'deadbeats', and demand 'certain behavior' before they deserve support? How many are anxious to 'obliterate' Iran? I don't think even Ted Cruz has been this inflamatory.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Comparing Hillary to Trump like this is going too far and has no place on a Democratic message board.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Feb 24, 2016, 07:12 AM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I suspect the alerter is angry that the quotes could have been said by either. Rather than the comparison being "too far" - I think the objection is that it hits too close.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Trump actually could fit in pretty well with some Dems on the RW of the party. I'm pretty sure half of his 'over the top' positions are just pandering to idiots for votes, and he doesn't give a crap about them. Compare away.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This silliness has to stop.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Quoting Hillary and quoting Trump in the same post is not disruptive, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate. Embarrassing for sure, but not out of line.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Statements are not supported.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: These are her quotes. She said them. I don't see a problem.

It's equal parts depressing and disturbing how badly the Clintonites want DU to be an echo chamber... every try I go look at one of the Hillary Clinton group threads I am pretty shocked at how out of touch it is with reality... like the one today which was describing her "crackerjack" campaign team... in what reality is that at thing?

Alerting on a post that is based on quotes from the person in question. With reason is that it's wrong for YOU to post the (truth) comparison. Nothing about the content - just that it doesn't "respect" the candidate.

THAT in a nutshell is what's wrong: shoot the messenger. Bury the evidence. Truth doesn't matter....
You must respect her AUTHORI-TAY!

came from Trump.

All of the ones you wish HE'd said came from her.

Although I don't agree with the alert or the single vote to hide, I do feel providing links to the sources of each quote would be a good idea, possibly in a comment.

Every day that passes more and more people on the left are rejecting Hillary, saying they'll stay home or vote third party.

There's no progressive running in a Trump v Hillary contest. There's an insider (with endless baggage and distrust) and an outsider with a PROVEN record of crushing establishment politicians. Ted Cruz can't even win the evangelical vote against Trump.
