Stunning New Reuters Poll: Bernie Leading Hillary Nationally by 6 %

WOOT! Berniementum Baby!! Sanders is in this to win.

......

Stunning New Reuters Poll Shows Bernie Sanders Leading Nationally by 6 %
by Tom Cahill * February 24, 2016 * U.S. Uncut

A new national poll from Reuters shows Bernie Sanders leading Hillary Clinton by 6 points among Democrats — his largest lead of the primary so far.

According to the 5-day rolling poll results released on February 23, Sanders has the support of 41.7 percent of voters who identify as Democrat compared to Clinton’s 35.5 percent. The poll sampled 998 voters from across the country who identify as Democrats or as independents who lean towards the Democratic party.

Reuters polls have showed Clinton and Sanders in a virtual dead heat since the beginning of February. Following the Iowa caucus, a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed Clinton just two points ahead of Sanders in a national survey with a 5-point margin of error, meaning the poll was effectively a dead heat. A Quinnipiac national poll released on February 17 showed Sanders two points ahead of Clinton, which was also within the margin of error.

The Reuters poll released on January 23, however, showed Clinton was 5 points ahead with self-identifying Democrats. This effectively means an 11-point swing in Sanders’ favor over a one-month period. Sanders is gaining ground on Clinton at roughly the same pace Barack Obama did in 2008, according to RealClearPolitics polling averages. Between February 22 and February 24, 2008, Obama was up just 3 points on Clinton.

This poll comes at a critical time for the Sanders campaign, which is coming off of a 5-point loss in the Nevada caucus and is perceived as the underdog in Saturday’s South Carolina primary. Sanders faces another uphill contest as Super Tuesday looms ahead on March 1. The Vermont senator has been steadily gaining ground in crucial primary states like Georgia and Texas, which award approximately 20 percent of total delegates between the two of them.

This is going to go on a lot longer than super Tuesday. The states that he is predicted to do the best in don't come up until later in March, April and beyond.

Let's face it, he is doing REALLY well and gaining momentum. Could you have imagined that he would be doing so well a few months ago?? And according to this, he's the front runner with Dems!!!

I do not expect him to ddo so great next Tuesday. Georgia, Arkansas, No. Dakota - those are definitely stronger fr Hillary. But PLEASE don't be discouraged and don't let others you know get discouraged.

The Hillary people around here will try to get you to give up, say some rude things and then go on about her coronation. Don't fall for it - it's NOT gonna happen!! He is gaining, and gaining on her. They never expected Nevada to be so close - I don't care WHAT they say! They are running scared and they should be.

and very probably lean toward Clinton.

This year it's got a much smaller pool of states, half the size it was in '08, about 1/3 are states that Sanders can win.

The critical thing in the states he loses will be the size of the margin and the resulting delegate distributions. She'll do well, but I don't think it's looking like he'll be reduced to being non-competitive then

The delegate assignment could get very difficult for Sanders on Mar 15th. He really needs to close up in Illinois and Ohio to balance what looks like a loss in Florida which iirc is a winner take all contest.

way out front on favorability.

"The survey showed that an astounding 87% of young people are likely to vote in the upcoming Presidential election, and 31% named Bernie Sanders as the candidate that they respect the most. Bernie’s numbers are almost triple that of Hillary’s (11%) and are higher than every Republican candidate’s scores combined. ..."

Like your life depends on it because it does. Make sure all your friend/ relatives vote, this is what is known as a Revolution and it will not happen if one makes excuses and stays home, even if he does not do well we still must support him and not be discouraged ,things can turn on a dime.

Remember all those posts yesterday? "All the sexism has driven me to support Hilly." / "Sanders should just give up, for the good of the pary." / "There is too much division among Democrats, let's unite behind the inevitable Clinton." / "Beware of Trump, so nominate the woman." (who is bound to lose against Trump, by the way - BK)

Yeah, now we know why.

This poll was coming up. The presumptive nominee is Sanders. All the red-baiting has driven me to support sanders. Clinton should give up for the good of the party. There is too much division and we should unite behind the unstoppable Sanders. Beware of Trump, so nominate the man who will burry him in a landslide.
