Bernie Sanders Overtakes Clinton in Three More States, Clinton Supporters Worried in Texas

http://m.dailykos.com/stories/2016/2/22/1489606/-Bernie-Sanders-Overtakes-Clinton-in-Three-More-States-Clinton-Supporters-Worried-in-Texas

Tom Cahill at USUncut.com February 19:

According to recent polls in both Democratic strongholds and swing states, Bernie Sanders’ once insurgent campaign is snowballing into a serious movement. In the critical swing state of Colorado, where Sanders once trailed Hillary Clinton by as much as 28 points prior to the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary, Sanders is now ahead of Clinton by 6 points.

Cahill notes:

In Massachusetts, Sen. Sanders is leading Clinton by 7 points, according to a Public Policy Poll (PPP) conducted between February 14 and February 16. This is a significant change from previous polls, which had Clinton leading Sanders in the Democratic stronghold state by a 25-point margin in a Boston Globe/Suffolk poll in November.

Massachusetts was supposedly “Hillary Country,” but Sanders signs are visible throughout Cambridge, home of Harvard University.

Nationally a Fox News report says Hillary is “feeling the bern” as Sanders tops Clinton nationally in a poll by three points, although RCP average has Clinton up by 5 points.

With no recent California polls, it is difficult to tell what is happening in the delegate behemoth although last October the Sacramento Bee reported that Sanders by then had surged from single digits to 35%.

Bernie did very well in Iowa with the Latino vote. 64 percent of the precincts with the highest Hispanic populations, went for Bernie. Furthermore, I spoke with a LULAC leader who told me that Hispanics were overwhelmingly breaking for Bernie in Iowa.

Also, in NV--isn't it interesting that the entrance polls showed that Bernie had a 9-point lead with Hispanics, then it was as if a flurry of Clinton operatives parachuted in to attempt to quell that reporting. What do you want to bet that Bernie is leading with Hispanics. They hear his messages and it just resonates. I have a great feeling about Texas. He's only behind by 10 points and he's barely been there. Those stats are better than where he was in NV!

Stats do show that Bernie wins overwhelmingly with Hispanics under 35. Hispanic voters tend to be skew young. This is good news for Sanders.

I see lots of reasons to be positive, and this is one of them.

I expect to go to the polls for mayoral elections and propositions. I expect this to be decided well before the primary, which should be a nice after thought.

CA made the decision to just consolidate the primary with the June election. IMO while it was to save money, as far as muscle, it has reduced tje state to a ka-Ching machine for both parties, and nothing more

That would be something new. Hillary supporters claim she has been properly vetted, yet that poll you showed looked as if the voting population is still vetting her, and it doesn't seem to be going that well. Gonna be a long spring/summer.

It is clear who has the momentum.
At this point, it is NOT the raw totals that count.
It IS the TRENDS that make all the difference,
and Hillary is sliding downhill..... fast.

I think I'll look at them for the next three weeks and derive conclusions independent of what anyone actually does or wants! It's very important to use the charts to determine what will happen before it happens, and then do nothing!

But if HC supporters are worried in Texas, I would be too if I only opened one office in Austin. Yes, one little office.

Bernie has a several from Houston to DFW that have been running for several weeks now.

Pretty F'ing awesome if you ask me.
