It's Not As If The President Blew A Twenty Point Lead At The Debate

Check the averages. The 47% bump was already wearing off...On the eve of the debate he was up three or four points. Maybe he blew his chance for a knockout but he didn't blow the election.

The fundamentals of the race still favor the president. No sitting president has been defeated when his approval rating is over fifty percent. Willard Romney has to win with an almost all white coalition in an increasingly heterogeneous nation. The president has a ton of cash to spend on GOTV and advertisements.

Stand up straight. Take the "Kick Me" sign off your behind and be proud you're a Democrat

And yet, from the media frenzy, you'd think that's exactly what happened. n/t gkhouston Oct 2012 #2
