2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHas the world turned upside down?
Yesterday the Weasel King, Ted Cruz, fired a lead spokesman for disseminating false information about Marco Rubio. A couple of months ago, the Weasel Queen, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, ignored warnings from Bernie's tech people that a digital door was left open, and caught a Sanders staffer peeking where he ought not to have been peeking. He, too, was dismissed. Peekability extended both ways in that situation, but even though there was circumstantial evidence that Clinton staffers also peeked, the mere suggestion unleashed a fusillade of denials and outrage.
So here's the thing: Clinton staffers, surrogates, and SuperPAC Chairmen have committed an ever-growing litany of transgressions every bit as questionable as what Cruz's spokesman did save your indignation, Hillarites; this stuff has been documented and yet, none of the perpetrators of dirty tricks or artful smears has been told to clean out their desks.
So... are we to believe that the smarmy Weasel King of the Far Right is more honorable than You-Know-Who?
Damn, I would hate to think so. I get dizzy when the world is upside down.
P.S. It is not my intention to be disruptive - that is a term open to very broad interpretation - but simply posing a legitimate question.

(60,339 posts)His campaign manager is probably more evil than Karl Rove. I knew him in college.
I would bet that this announcement was designed so they could say, see we took care of problem we had.

(2,382 posts)... but that does not change the question: Why hasn't Hillary even said anything, let alone fired, Block or his minions for stunts that have been exposed and/or disproven? It does not reflect well on her campaign.

(7,231 posts)It is very disruptive to point out that some "Democrats" don't play by the rules unless it suits them. What are you? Racist? Sexist? Socialist? Millennial? Complacent? Going to Hell?
/ sarcasm.

(2,382 posts)... I definitely have socialist tendencies, and, if Heaven is reserved for the likes of Ted Cruz and his ilk, I'd prefer the Warm Place; I expect I'll meet a better class of people.

I'm sure they'll get right onto firing the imaginary staffers who committed those imaginary 'transgressions' you say are documented.
Cruz is pandering to 'evangelicals.' What's the parallel in your camp?

(2,382 posts)... who fed Jonathan Capehart the totally discredited BS about "That's not Bernie!" in a photograph that clearly WAS Bernie? It couldn't have been his boyfriend, who incidentally, works for Hillary. Capehart subsequently issued a kind of snarky non-apology. That's just for starters.
I'm not trying to change your mind; I know that ain't gonna happen, and you're not going to change mine. But denying that any of this even happened is just ridiculous.

(86,005 posts)...look Greg, neither camp is likely to represent the others 'transgressions' fairly.
You're basically talking to your own candidate's supporters.
Btw, Capehart doesn't work for the Clinton campaign in any way, shape, or form. He supports her campaign, and it's not as much of a secret as some would lead folks to believe. That's a far sight from anything that would make it appropriate or necessary for the Clinton campaign to account for an independent opinion columnist.

(2,382 posts)... and it's Cruz with whom I made a comparison. Cruz fired someone for untrue statements. Hillary's people have also made untrue statements. No one has been fired. Everyone is free to draw their own conclusions.

(10,476 posts)A maneuver straight out of the Karl Rove handbook; make a general accusation along with a claim of "we documented it", yet fail to show said documentation alongside the accusation. That way, the slur sticks in the reader's mind, and they glaze over the fact that it was unsubstantiated.

(28,270 posts)One question for you then.
Why hasn't Bernie come out and said anything about these supposedly egregious acts?
Hm?
