Hardly a positive quality in a National Symbol and an aspect worthy of note.

4. I have had to deprogram my 78 year old mom.

I would say we are about 80% done. She still gets mad sometimes because of crap they spew and I have to explain what they are doing and why, then she gets really mad. I cannot get her to stop watching altogether, but there are a lot of times I come in to see the Food Network on instead of MSNBC.

I am proud of her and how her politics have changed once she saw how she has been misled. She told me the other night she has switched from Hillary to Bernie because of Hillary's low blow attacks on Bernie and her refusal to turn over her Wall Street transcripts. Seeing how much money they have been giving to her and Bill for speeches, campaign contributions, and Super PACs she now understands what is going on. Several politician surrogates have lost her support as well. She does get tired of Bernie repeating his message, and I had to show her all of the other issues that Bernie has weighed in on besides encore inequality for her to finally come around.

The other thing that cinched it was the non-stop Trump coverage on MSNBC and Chris Mathews's blatant shilling for Hillary and the dismissive, crappy treatment of Bernie at his hands. When I showed her how Hillary bought him with money to Mathew's wife's campaign she wondered aloud at why he was still on the air. She remembers Keith Olberman's suspension for a $15,000 contribution he didn't disclose and sees how this is much worse!

This is why Hillary still gets older people to vote for her, the elderly only watch TV. They still think things are straight forward like when Cronkite was an anchor so they are particularly susceptible to the propaganda being spewed.

But they no longer have my mom!

What many of you seem to forget is that Clinton's election brings a virtual army of Progressives into the White House. Some seem to think the election is about one person only. It's not and it never has been. Locking down our position on the White House for another 8-16 years gives us some margin of safety while the GOP continues to fall apart.
