2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumObama's final campaign messaging.
Now we are down to it .... 27 more days .... and plenty of early voting until then.
It sure seems to me that the final big messages from the Obama campaign should be two pronged:
One, Rmoney is a flip-flopper, he will say anything to get elected, etc. There is so much material to work with and it keeps the election a referendum on Rmoney.
"You can't lead if you don't know where you are going."
Voting for president is such a 'gut' vote, more than it is on issues ... Rmoney the car salesman is a mental image that will kill his chances.
Two, Obama has taken us in the right direction -- the campaign needs to be selling the drop in the unemployment rate; the auto resurgence; etc. You've got to have a positive message and a vision for the future.
Am I right? Uh?

(312 posts)Romney: Con man/snake oil salesman who will tell you anything to close that deal, but what he's selling does no good to anyone and actually does harm. He has no core and will be the pawn of radical Republicans in Congress.
Obama: Still more work to do, but we're on the right track. Need to finish the job. We may not always agree, but I will always tell you the truth and you will know where I stand.
