Paul Ryan is much smarter than Joe Biden and Mitt Romney

Anyone that is an expert and chairs the budget committee has to be smarter. Right?

Of course, any plans involving the budget are way too complicated to explain when there isn't enough time.

I want Ryan to go into obscurity. I want his mother to be embarrassed wherever she goes for being the type of person she is and the son she raised.

And Biden has hopefully won.

Until then we have no idea what will happen.

but I've seen both debate. I'm in Ryan's district and he's lost without his whiteboard or powerpoint.

on edit: I'll bet he'll have his paper pad with him to take notes.

When a party wants something said no one wants to say because they know it will hurt them in a re-election candidate, some party leader looks out among a group to pick the "eager beaver" -- the someone who is just arrogant enough to think they can say anything and get away with it -- that is just how good they are. That party leader picks someone who overall is expendable. And that exactly what the tapped spokesman for crazy ideas does not realize until the election arrives and he or she sees they are losing. This is what is happening to Ryan now.

He should have payed closer attention to how the game is played. The fact he did not but led with his own arrogance suggests to me he is not very smart at all.

His ideology is very harmful for ordinary people and the sick and vulnerable, at the benefit of billionaires. He has no empathy for others who aren't as fortunate as him. This is a big chink in his armor. Another chink is Romney's ridiculous tax plan.
