(53,072 posts)This was a key race. I expect S Carolina and Super Tuesday will go well.
The bad part is they aren't taking defeat well. The attacks on Huerta are galling.

(53,072 posts)While I have liked caucuses myself, canvassing I've realized that many elderly and sick or disabled people can't attend. That is a problem. Ultimately, however, those decides reside with the states.

And there aren't any votes she can get in the fall that Bernie couldn't get.

(53,072 posts)Who listens to the American people, has productive relationships with congress and community groups, and is a strong defender of Democratic constituencies, policies, and the party. I disagree she is more conservative. On key issues important to me, like guns and women's rights, she is to the left of Bernie. I also judge the other candidate to be incredible for many good reasons I have discussed at length on DU.
Political slogans don't work on me, and that includes the constant mantra about Wall Street and corporatism, while ignoring actual votes and contradictions related to other sectors of the economy. like Big Gun, the MIC, and Big Sugar.
Ultimately, I want a president willing to work to get things done. Slogans don't cut it.
Then when I see the many great people and organizations on the left targeted by Sanders supporters or his campaign, I can see quite clearly who they see as enemies--and it's not the right.
