Socrates

I am taking a Humanities class and was reading about Socrates. The text listed a quote:

"I will never fear or avoid a possible good rather than a certain evil."

—Socrates

I am as big a Bernie supporter as they come, but if Hillary is the nominee, I will vote for her without a second though. The quote above kind of sums up voting for Hillary over any Republican for me. I still think Bernie can be the nominee, but if it doesn't end up that way, the movement he started will need to push Hillary in vastly more progressive direction. history has shown it can be done.

Another bit of irony about Socrates and the current landscape of politics came a paragraph later when I read this:

"Socrates was sentenced to death because he had upset people of wealth who were well-connected politically."
