(39,961 posts)You bring far too much just to DU by itself than to go down that path.
RogueValley, I think I am one among many who would be more than willing to tell you how meaningful your life is to them.
Please do not go down that road.
You mean something, my friend.

(271 posts)When Bernie says it's about us, he means all of us. All of America. That's a person I'm proud to support.

(5,480 posts)Served under Nixon, Ford, Carter, and Reagan. Left the service before Reagan managed to get us shot at, again - I could not serve another hitch under that man. I feel that he was a disgrace to the nation.
I really felt that Carter was one of the best US Presidents of the 20th Century, but he got handed a shit sandwich from Ford (the economy) and was blindsided by the Reagan co-conspirators over the whole Iran hostage deal.
Bernie has consistently had our backs, and we should all band together and support him now.
I just signed up on the Vetsforbernie.org web site.

(30,099 posts)If we can help him pull this off, we can begin to push back on all the corruption in politics,
no more important fight, imo.

(28,946 posts)Damn near packed it in during Nixon's run. Glad I didn't, but it was tough, especially during the Cambodian bombings.
Agree about Carter - dirty doings.

(20,234 posts)I can't get past the Iraq War vote.
And I can't get past the Bosnia sniper lie. I know that's not a policy decision that affects others, but it's like lying about military service. There are real people killed by real snipers because she voted to send them into combat ... and she's telling the world she's the one being shot at.
I just can't.

Now I work for a state agency assisting homeless and disabled Vets.
I'm tempted to believe that if a politician votes for military action, they should be leading the charge.
