Related: About this forumNational Nursesaccuses Clinton campaign of trying to trick Bernie Sanders’ voters at Nevada caucuses
National Nurses United, with members in every state, 185,000 total, announced they were backing Sanders in August of last year, with DeMoro stating, Bernie Sanders aligns perfectly with nurses on the most critical problems facing our nation, from income inequality to guaranteeing healthcare to all to holding Wall Street and corporations to account to opening the doors to college education for everyone to racial justice to the climate crisis..
Union members are easily identified at Sanders rallies sporting bright red t-shirts, with some members wearing special ones with BeRNie screened over a heart.
Some opponents of Sanders have criticized the unions affiliation with the Vermont senator, characterizing it as a SuperPac which Sanders has steered clear of.
**UPDATE**: In a statement to Raw Story, National Nurses United spokesperson Chuck Idelson said the red tees were not a first for Clinton supporters, and that when nurses attending the caucus pointed out the Clinton people to the press, they immediately changed back into Clinton blue tees

(3,687 posts)THey can't possibly expect Bernie people to just bend over and vote for her (after this shit), should a tragedy occur and she able to slime her way to a nomination.

(1,890 posts)I watched a video earlier where the atty basically told Clinton volunteers who were registering voters...Do it till you get caught. Referring to registering voters and improperly using campaign signs, etc. Maybe this is the MO of the campaign....Do it till you get caught.

(5,141 posts)It's James O'Keefe. I don't trust a fucking thing that guy says. I saw the same video and I was like "oh shit!- She just killed her campaign" and actually started to post it until I saw it came from HIM. It's been around since Autumn.
I wish a credible source had something similar but until and unless that video surfaces, keep away from the O'Keefe version.

(19,926 posts)Glad to hear this is coming from the nurses. The other OP had a tweet. I didn't look to see who tweeted it, maybe that was from the nurses union as well.

(28,749 posts)This is a non-story.
Shirts have logos, shirts have words (both in English and Spanish), and some shirts have candidates pictures.
Who is getting fooled?
No one.

(28,749 posts)That they worse shirts with the Hillary logo?
Should they have just gone shirtless?
Now THAT might influence my vote ...

(5,141 posts)If its a nothing burger, why would they change back? Seems suspicious.
Also, when your candidate has a trustworthiness issue, even if its just the perception of trustworthiness, then people are going to start questioning everything. It illustrates why it's important to run a clean campaign.
Again, a monster of the campaign's making. I'm not throwing this all at Hillary's feet, but her campaign has done some very questionable things.
