Sanders hits Bill Clinton on welfare reform, trade

"Bill Clinton was the president who led the effort to deregulate Wall Street, was the president who fought for the disastrous NAFTA trade agreement," the Vermont senator said to reporters on his campaign plane as he flew from Washington to Las Vegas.

Clinton, he continued, "was the president who pushed this so-called welfare reform, which was absolutely disastrous for low-income people in general, and the African-American community in particular."

Let's not forget that Hillary was a lobbyist for these same "reforms" while she was in the White House with Bill. She and Bill helped decimate the American middle class with NAFTA, China in the WTO and bank deregulation.

I have critized clinton for years on NAFTA and wellfare reform.i opposed both at time they happened.

that sign the legislature that removed the barriers of glass-steagall and it didn't take long for the greed in this country to grow and grow. It has crossed my mind more then once that by signing the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, President Clinton bought the Presidency for Hillary.

I know that President Clinton was to a great extent simply borne on the tide, the glowing face he put on these disasters means he owns them.
