Bernie's wider margins of victory are coming from Republicans too repulsed to vote for Cruz (because he's repulsive) OR Hillary (because being Democrat and female, she's even more repulsive).

These polls mean nothing this far out from the general election. Once the GOP starts running ads about Bernie spending his honeymoon in the USSR (is this really true?) and his avoiding military service, his numbers will tank with middle America.

As did Hillary.

That's not an issue this campaign cycle.

but this one has what it takes to be taken seriously: a minimum of 750 respondents and a maximum margin of error of three percent.

polls favoring Sanders don't mean anything, but polls that favor Clinton prove Sanders "can't win."

It's hypocritical, to say the least.

The reality is this: Sanders gets more crossover support than Clinton ever will. Sure, the GOP will use socialism as at talking point. That will fail, just like it's failing for the Clinton campaign and her supporters. Just as the constant spinning of poll numbers is failing, as Sanders' support continues to rise.

The reality is this: More Americans like Bernie, more Americans trust him, and, considering the horrific choices offered by their own party, some Republicans will support him.

While, should Clinton be nominated, Republicans will come out in force to defeat her.

Welcome to DU.

So now are all the HRC supporters that were scared to death of Bernie being the general election candidate switching sides?

Snark aside - those numbers scare ME of HRC's general electability. And it seems like there's nowhere to go but LOWER. There's nothing there except the scare tactic of "the GOP is worse".

At this point. The FBI investigation results could drive her even further down depending on the outcome. A Hillary nomination is Trump's only chance at victory as well, they for sure don't want to face Bernie.
