Hillary Clinton faces one problem she didn't expect: Money

ry Clinton’s campaign had planned for any number of troubles on her path toward the Democratic nomination; money was never supposed to be among them.

Now, at a critical point in the race, Clinton finds herself under financial stress. The Bernie Sanders money machine keeps churning, sweeping up millions of dollars more than the Clinton campaign has been able to find of late, positioning the democratic socialist from Vermont to compete in states where he was never expected to be a threat.

As Clinton’s network of fundraisers in cash-rich regions like Los Angeles and the Bay Area struggle to fill events where tickets typically cost $2,700 -- the maximum a donor can give in the primary -- Sanders is not holding any. His money comes almost entirely online, and keeps coming and coming, far faster and more steadily than small donations do on Clinton’s website.

Clinton’s rainmakers have grown anxious. She began the year with $10 million more in the bank than Sanders, but that cushion is disappearing fast.

In 2008 she put in $13 million of her own money. Wonder how much more of her own cash she will add to her campaign coffers?

Now we know why she charged so much for her Wall Street speeches.

Like she'll stiff the voters should she be elected.
Wonder if she'll have a parade down Wall Street?

She can pay her own bills this time.
Shows.pretty poor financial.sense to run up bills you have no intention of paying.
I feel sorry for all the vendors she will leave unpaid.
Maybe she can get a bailout from her wall street pals.

Her campaign is a behemoth, and she probably spent everything she had in Iowa just to end up with the tie.

Journalists will be amazed that Bernie when Bernie starts outspending her.

The DNC can be pretty certain that none of them are going to donate to Sanders.

And most of them would not have maxed out yet.

On the other hand, Sanders raised a million bucks in one day. Admittedly, the hoi polloi can't keep up that rate forever (maxing out isn't a problem for most supporters. Paying the rent is) but it has to give our rulers pause.

it's just something they HAVE, not an actual amount you can use to buy THINGS with

so they can get phat checks as big as everything Sanders has gotten so far, but they'll blow through it just as fast on smearmongers and consultants and poll-massagers and pretending they've been in this or that state forever

thing is, they absolutely weren't expecting a primary campaign! they'd just keep it vague, tell each constituency she was their woman, and cash out on the votes; but once Sanders broke 25% they started getting nervous, and after 30% she started getting ugly: she who had planned to run on offering everybody everything they wanted (nothing in writing, tho) turned out to have nothing to offer and only relied on people not knowing about her opponent, on desperately hoping for some THING that could make that straight poll line falter and trip--but not his D+ NRA rating, not her IA "victory", not the endorsements have worked; she's not only already dismissed NV but has decided to insult it to boot and pissed off the centrist Reid

this is just 365 days, and that little baby-blue dot way way over on the right just happens to be above that cadet-blue one on Fox's poll
