But I think we're all sensing this trend on the ground in our respective states. Bernie's getting new, fervent supporters every day while Hillary either loses them or doesn't gain any.

Yes, they don't count for anything in terms of delegates but it makes headlines (they can't ignore it when the "front-runner" gets overtaken) which is free publicity, and it means he'll be doing better in many individual states, which does translate into delegates.
