HRC Spokesman Calls Sanders' Campaign "Poor Man's Imitation" of Obama 2008In response to that endorsement, Clinton campaign spokesperson Brian Fallon issued the following tweet:
Diss Obama by day, do poor mans imitation of 2008 campaign by night
Poor mans imitation? What an unfortunate choice of words.
Sad, impecunious slobs that we are, we slink around under cover of night selling T-shirts! What a feeble imitation of the glittering galas held by our PAC-glutted betters. I feel so put in my place.

(3,649 posts)The arrogance of the Clinton campaign has been on full display for months, and it's finally catching up with them.

And we are the 99%, most of whom are poor or headed that way, this is the poor mans's/woman's campaign

WE are indeed the poor man's REVOLUTION.
it is nothing to be ashamed of people, embrace it!
Revolutions are now as always the last best hope of the poor and it has been thus since civilization began.
They are lucky that unlike the French royalty/wealthy they fashion themselves after, we bring votes rather than guillotines.

(24,979 posts)Probably not as poor as he was in 2008 before the Obama poster, I would guess.
But does Fallon get that it's the same Shepard Fairey?
If he doesn't: Fallon's not a poor man, I presume, but definitely a philistine!

(18,775 posts)I supported her in 2008 and expected to support her this time around. I was happy Sanders entered the race at the start because I thought he would focus the conversation on things that really matter, but wouldn't actually be in the running in a serious way. That has clearly shifted.
I'm finding Clinton more and more distasteful. I don't know how I overlooked her Corporatism and serious flaws when I supported her in the past

The Sanders campaign is no imitation.
You've had ample warning, yet you still underestimate him.
