""Romney definitely improved in Friday and Saturday polling among registered voters, but Obama did better Saturday and Sunday nights," says Jeffrey Jones of Gallup."

Their sample consists of: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The debate is almost exactly in the middle of the sample now.

Since Obama saw a rise in support from yesterday's numbers, you can wager that he had better polling Sunday than he had on the Sunday before ... since had he done worse, his numbers would've fallen when that daily sample was dropped.

in their sampling on Thur and Fri and how Sat & Sun looked. If like Gallup it was an awful Thur & Fri and a better Sat & Sun for Obama then the poll would be pretty much what the trackers are showing. Even Ras is showing Obama gaining.

a temporary bounce. Pew may be respected, but they can goof, too. And I think they did if even Ras is better for the President. Sounds like an outlier with particularly good Romney days after the debate.

It encourages some, depresses others and, as a species which likes to follow the pack, influences.

The more coverage given to polls showing Romney in the lead, the more likely it is that he will indeed be crowned on November 6th.

There is a lot to be nervous about right now until we find out what is going on.

The "don't worry, be happy" attitude is what got us overconfident going into the debate last week, and look what happened.

Now what I would like to know is which Gallup Tracking Poll is the most recent. Is Obama really up by 5? That's what I thought earlier this afternoon, but RCP won't include it in its average.

It claims that the 47-47 poll is the most recent one.

What is going on?

little to no holding bounce over that ONE debate. Jesus, buck the hell up. If debates mattered so much, Obama would never have been elected on 08 and Kerry would have won in '04. Yes, keep campaigning hard, but stop all this skyfalling hysteria. It is NONSENSE.

I can't think of a better way to fire up the base, and motivate our President to become more aggressive. Fear can be a powerful tool, and I fear a Romney presidency more than I fear prostate cancer.

I gave money after the debate knowing President Obama needs every cent he can muster against Romney Inc. It is so sad that our political system is dependent on money! Yet I want to keep watching all the Obama ads on TV down here in Florida, so help him out.

As much as i want to say those poll numbers give hope they don't, those poll numbers were taking 3 days before the debate and 3 days after whereas PEW was on a 4 day roll from the post-debate to today.

It's starting to look like were going to lose it in the last few weeks. It's so frustrated but unless Joe and Barack show up to the next debates im pretty sure were done for thanks in large part to Mitt Romney AND THE FACT THAT NO ONE IS CALLING HIM OUT ON HIS LIES!!!! WTF KIND OF MEDIA DO WE HAVE?????????????
