As far as I know, the current poll numbers are

Gallup O+5
Ipsos O+3
Rasmussen tied
ARG O+4.4
Pew R+4

For the life of me, I can't see how they crunch those numbers and come up with R+2.7.

I'd put a lot of credence in those numbers. Worrisome to say the least. The jobs numbers aren't going to move the poll much. The greatest majority of Americans have no idea about that type of stuff, political junky stuff completely.

Biden and the Prez have to do an excellent job in the upcoming debates. One more stinker and it's RobMe's to lose.

I am still incredibly upset at Obama and his campaign for the pitiful performance in he debate.

Repeating the same debate prep will lead to same debacle. Are there new debate coaches helping him? How much more time is he putting into prep now?

I wouldn't be too alarmed about national polling because it's all about 50 individual presidential elections and Obama is doing well in states that have enough electoral votes to win a second term.
