2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumRomney has his first lead in the TPM poll tracker at +2.7
I wouldn't worry too much, not all the polls have rebounded yet as Gallup has with Romney's lies and the jobs numbers.

(26,044 posts)As far as I know, the current poll numbers are
Gallup O+5
Ipsos O+3
Rasmussen tied
ARG O+4.4
Pew R+4
For the life of me, I can't see how they crunch those numbers and come up with R+2.7.

(3,491 posts)I'd put a lot of credence in those numbers. Worrisome to say the least. The jobs numbers aren't going to move the poll much. The greatest majority of Americans have no idea about that type of stuff, political junky stuff completely.
Biden and the Prez have to do an excellent job in the upcoming debates. One more stinker and it's RobMe's to lose.

(1,314 posts)I wouldn't be too alarmed about national polling because it's all about 50 individual presidential elections and Obama is doing well in states that have enough electoral votes to win a second term.
