This morning, Gallup went out of their way to say the race is tied. They had to know then that Obama did very well in Sunday's polling.

Romney temporarily moved into a 47-47 tie.

The media decided to take that number and use it as the Gallup number today without even waiting until 1:00 PM to see what the real Gallup Tracking number was for Monday.

They isolated three days of polling after the debate that had Romney tied 47-47 ... they stopped polling on that sample a couple days ago. It was just a snap poll to see what Romney's bounce was.

Also capture Obama jobs surge. Polling that occurs from Subday onward may reflect the jobs bump. With four weeks left, most polling operations will have only Two or three non tracking traditional polls left.

Romney is trying to overshadow it with his foreign policy speech today.

Don't let him get away with it.

Romney wanted this election to be about the economy - so let's make it about the economy!

Not sure why Callup would pick 3 days that polled well for Romney and report them, they weren;t even the latest 3 days they had data for. Pretty stupid.

Romney got a bounce that was negated not only by the jobs report, but by the fact that people started realizing he lied lied and lied at the debates.

Apparently, Gallup switches from RVs to LVs starting tomorrow, so two-three points of that lead are likely to go bye-bye instantly. also, since 10/1, which was apparently a strong Obama day, is dropping off, unless we get a strong Obama day today as well, tomorrow might see a draw or even, in the worst-case scenario, a slight Romney lead. If so, remember, it's not Mittmentum...it's Gallup changing their model.
