Rasmussen Tracking - Tie

Obama 48

Romney 48

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Mitt Romney and President Obama each attracting support from 48% of voters nationwide. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

While there have been modest swings in recent months that have favored one candidate over the other, the overall picture is of a race that is both stable and very close. Over the past 100 days of tracking, Romney and Obama have been within two points of each other 72 times. Additionally, on 89 of those 100 days, the candidates have been within three points of each other. That is exceedingly close in a poll with a three percentage-point margin of error.

Forty-four percent (44%) of voters are “certain” they will vote for Romney and not change their minds. Forty-two percent (42%) are certain they will vote for Obama. Platinum Members can still see the more detailed numbers along with demographic breakdowns, and additional information from the tracking poll on a daily basis.

Consumer confidence has jumped ten points since Friday’s report showing unemployment dropping below 8%. Thirty-nine percent (39%) of Americans now believe their own finances are in good shape. That’s up four points since the day President Obama took office. Still, 59% believe the U.S. remains in a recession.

Brand new numbers show that the president now leads by two in the swing state of Iowa. New results from Colorado will be released at 10:30 Eastern. Other post-debate state polls show Romney up one in Virginia, the president up one in Ohio and Romney up two in Florida. All remain Toss-Ups in the Rasmussen Reports Electoral College Projections.

results. I believe that most of the trackers had indicated that Romney had a big day on Friday, so things may have settled down over the weekend.
